There are flowers on my window sill.
Cards on my mantelpiece.
A cheese cake in the fridge.
Presents.
The promise to good things to come.
And a wide awake dog jumped on my bed early this morning to say “Happy Birthday!” (Rapidly followed by “Can we go for a walk nowwwwwwwww?? Plllleeeaaaasssseeee??”)
10 things i know about marita.
1. she has a LOUD GOOFY LAUGH.
2. she is obsessed with a small dog, which is merely training for future and long delayed maternal duties.
3. her housemate is very suspicious of ME
4. her sense of humour can best be described as ‘questionable’.
5. her concept of an early morning start, and teh rest of teh civilised world, vary by about 4 hours.
6. she only comes to canberra to eat at ‘goodberries’.
7. just the word ‘goodberries’ makes her salivate and go ‘mmmm goodberries’.
8. she tries to maintain an air of mystery about her personal life which is pretty useless as she secretly longs for an exciting personal life she can share with THE WORLD .
9. by the time Marita expresses ‘interest in a boy’ he will have a: moved interstate, b: married someone (not her) c: turned gay (not that there’s anything wrong with that). or all three.
10. her diet at one stage consisted entirely of TWO MINUTE NOODLES.
