But here it is.
The doorbell doesn’t work but at night, with the hall light on behind it, it’s the prettiest door in the street.

Your door is identical to mine – except for the bottom panels. Your glass appears to have a blue tint. So does mine. I’ve painted the ledge and scroll a separate colour to highlight them. Not a bad idea. I’d suggest dark green for yours.
My present bathroom door was once the front door of a house in Caulfield. It’s a solid old thing: four panes of frosted glass up top with a ledge just below (no scroll). The bottom section has six (plain) vertical panels, which match the front door. I’d say it’s from the same period: 1920’s – 30’s. That’s when this house was built.
Anyway, having a bathroom door like that is very interesting. Nice conversation starter. (Not that I ever need one.)

Bunnings sell small Dulux cans called ‘Tiny tins.’ It’s oil-based; very tough, and spreads well. No need for undercoat, just give it a light sanding beforehand. And between coats, of course. Fine grit.
